When East meets West

Or in our case East meets Middle. Russia is not really west after all though Bits come with brown hair. In order for me not to feel sad having been deprived of a CNY celebration, Bits invited me to go to an orchestra evening coincidentally featuring eastern music.

I never thought something so delicate and fine can be hosted in a place called Hamer Hall. The hall was named after the Prime Minister at that time so I guess there isn't much choice calling it Hamer Hall. I was also quite clueless that this place is actually a performance center.

I always like Orchestra of any sort and Bits enjoys it too. One of the advantages of match making - dates comes with a set of common interests unless they lied. I looked forward to seeing them play a myriad of Chinese Music on an Orchestra setting and they did not disappoint me. Bits whom I think wasn't expecting anything got a pleasant surprise. The lead er hu player played a fast gypsy tune with his er hu just to show music transcend cultures. That's all he can talk about after it.

I am just glad he enjoyed it as much as I do.
